We Catch the 247-hp 2012 Ford Focus ST at the Nürburgring

We’ve just caught a mule of Ford’s upcoming Focus ST as it heads into testing at the Nürburgring in Germany. While the body is stock Focus, the Brobdingnagian wheels and the center-mounted exhaust tell us that this is definitely the 247-hp, 260-lb-ft hot hatch. We expect Ford’s answer to the VW GTI to arrive in [...]

Hamvas Takes Okayama, 2011 Season 2a NVIDIA Cup

When Zsolt Hamvas looks back on the 2011 Season 2a championship in the NVIDIA Cup, he will realize he fell only one point short of a clean sweep en route to his title. For the third consecutive week, Hamvas topped his online racing competitors in the Mazda MX-5s, taking the win at Okayama over just shy of 2000 drivers in Week Four.  For his efforts, Hamvas will receive pair of 3D glasses and a monitor from NVIDIA. Hamvas took 178 points away from the final week of racing for the season when he became the winner of a 2837 sof race on Sunday. The Central-Eastern Europe club driver led all twenty-five laps and defeated Marcelo A Neiva, Sven Kresmer, Pablo Navarrete and Kaique Piropo to take the victory. Hamvas was [...]

Pirelli: Ban red flag tyre changes

Pirelli has called for a change to the red flag rules in Formula 1 to prevent teams from changing tyres if a race is stopped - after feeling fans were robbed of a great finish to the Monaco Grand Prix. The battle for victory in Monte Carlo was finely poised between Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button in the closing stages of the race, with all three running around on tyres that were at very different stages of their wear life. But with their individual situations set to create a thrilling climax to the race, the battle came to a premature end when a late-race red flag, caused by Vitaly Petrov's accident, meant they were allowed to change rubber

Virtually all blogs begin as solitary endeavours driven by the author’s energy and motivation to share some message or theme. In most cases, this energy is lost over time. The world changes. Eventually the themes have been explored and [...]
