A new wine conversation

Welcome to the new WineConversation, one where you will find a few new, but familiar voices. Virtually all blogs begin as solitary endeavours driven by the author’s energy and motivation to share some message or theme. In most cases, this energy is lost over time. The world changes. Eventually the themes have been explored and [...]

Suzuki is hoping to jumpstart its slow-selling Kizashi with two concepts that will debut at the New York International Auto Show. Suzuki says that the cars will each feature a different "advanced propulsion system," though they aren't dropping many hints as to what that may mean.

Whatever it is, Suzuki's New York show display will be advanced propulsion-themed, and all will become clear soon enough.

There aren't any photos of the cars available yet, but Suzuki says one will be a "socially-conscious sedan," while the other will be a rowdy tribute to Suzuki's motorcycling heritage. We haven't quite figured out what that means, either. Whatever the cars wind up looking like, Suzuki says it will debut them during its press conference at the show.

And merely a month after the car?s Geneva debut, the company?s confirmed it [...]

How Far Should Bike and Transit Advocates Take Their Alliance?

In Portland, a political marriage has been brokered between biking and transit advocates. The two forces, once separate, have united under the heading “active transportation.” This year the Oregon Bike Summit changed its name to the “Active Transportation Summit,” and many of the workshops focused on the collaborative power of these complementary modes. Better Place?s First Commercial Battery Swap Location Opens in Israel

At the end of the 19th Century, cars were a hodgepodge of drivetrain/control layouts. Even Ford?s Model T veered far from what we know as convention today. Despite being motivated by a front-mounted internal-combustion engine driving the rear wheels, the Tin Lizzie featured a control layout that would seem bizarre to today?s driver: it featured [...]
